how to shoot a music video just using your phone coming up what's up everyone my name is cracka lack welcome back in today's post i'm going to show you guys how to shoot a music video just using your phone so i want to do this video for two reasons one because since i've been doing these music video tutorials a lot of people are asking what camera should they use and then two a lot of people make the excuse of waiting to shoot music videos until they save up to get a camera so if all you have right now is just your phone use your phone now granted i've been shooting music videos for almost 10 years now and i've shot over 400 music videos but we're gonna have fun the camera that'sf

ilming this is a sony a7s2 it's got like a 1600 lens on it normally i shoot music videos with this but we're going to dumb it down take it back to just using the phone i don't think i've ever actually shot a music video with a phone but it's going to be it'll be interesting at least if you're not already make sure you subscribe and hit the bell to be notified for future uploads more good content just like this right here all right so we're here in nashville tennessee this is our airbnb this is b-lils she's the artist i have other tutorials using b-lils as the rapper on my channel too so make sure you check those out but here's the deal it's going to be dark in about 30 minutes so we're going to shoot a music video from start to finish in under 30 minutes and also it's completely run and gun i haven't even heard the song so we're going to listen to

the song right now then step one i always say once you get to the location pick out the coolest spots so we're gonna kind of scout the airbnb real quick and pick out the dopey spots and then start shooting also key here there's accessories you can buy for your phone like stabilizer attachments all sorts of other things that can take your phone to the next level and i didn't want to use any of that in this video i want to have it as simple as possible also there's apps that you can pay for that allow you to adjust the shutter speed the iso the aperture all that for your actual phone i'm gonna be shooting it in auto mode with the phone so everything is simple as you can possibly get hopefully i can pull it off hopefully it looks dope all right now like i said we're rushed on time because the sun is setting we got the nashville tennessee skyline right here on the balcony so we're gonna knock this thing out first and then do the rest probably inside maybe yeah that way just a little bit okay i already know a lot of you are going to ask what phone am i filming this with this is a samsung galaxy 9+ so that was actually in 4k and then just to avoid the whole oh what

would it look like if you filmed it with an iphone b-lils has uh iphone 11 he's got the iphone 11 so i'm going to get some scenes with iphone 11 some seasons with the galaxy s9 plus and use both phones one thing that starts with filming with your phone is i'm not seeing the setting to adjust the frames per second normally the end product of the video is going to be 24 frames per second so normally i'd be filming that shot right there 24 frames per second but i'm not able to adjust that so i think by default it films in 30 frames per second but i do have the option in here to film at 60 frames per second so i'm going to get some b-roll of him just vibing with the song that's all going to be in 60 frames just look over at the camera you ain't got to uh just be wrong all right see right here you got a light above you so that should be straight and then you got the this behind you slideshow going around getting some b-roll right now random b-roll scenery b-roll

texture shots i just want to see you live your life now one thing i have been doing is every time i get a performance shot i switch it to 60 frames and then i'll get some sort of b-roll i tell them don't say any words just fire with it move your hands move your head and then i'll get some some b-roll of the scenery too so we just did the stairwell so i'm gonna get some b-roll of like this railing looking up some of the bright lights coming in maybe the stairs just so i have more footage to work with when i edit it let's do it uh y'all have an idea the sun is setting over there let's walk this way by the way the sun's setting alyssa we'll be right back face the sun sunset shot i might have to just get on that thing right here yeah it's gonna be like a silhouette just jump on there yeah i'll use your phone too maybe you should get a shot of him you know act like he's grabbing the moon off the sky you look like a bodybuilder it's the angle for you you baby know three tips on how to get better b-roll click the link in the description let me know in the comments what other

questions you guys have you want me to cover in videos please thank you one tip for y'all for better videos be cracka lack i'm a rapper and i'm shooting a new video i know he's got a phone but usually it's a real camera but it's a phone today just to show people it's easy but can i sit on your car standing like right here i wonder what that would look like like if you did a tank like that like if you did it like right here that's what i was trying to do but with the phones they're so like wide angle yeah he's got like a 10 15 000 grill from johnny dang show that thing off in the video also i found out with his iphone it can film in 24 frames per second so what i was telling them is usually people don't like real real tight

shots like this of their mouth because their teeth are up but he's got the bro well my teeth don't look like that no basically that yes i'm like you might as well do a selfie clip just hold the phone out like this and so that's what we're about to do right now i just want to see you live your life huh the real close-up mouth shot didn't look that cool i told him just do it like a like a selfie like where you're walking around like this doing the natural so that take us next yeah that's right huh i just want to see you live your life man i just want to see you on the flight but i want some sour candy some caffeine and a bottle of water welcome to mtv cribs oh orange flies just came in holy shit sweet bro i just got a comment on youtube said yo man you are the man thanks bro i want to be part of your flower put flowers part of your followers to learn filming watching and learning from you really got me want to move to the top thanks.
